The essence of the project is to create a space where people can say goodbye to a loved one in a dignified manner; a serene place that allows for the emotions associated with farewells, ranging from relief after a prolonged illness to profound sadness after an unexpected death. The location of the crematorium is situated among the tulip fields in the rural area of Lisse. The site is broadly divided into three sections: entrance, building, and remembrance.
